Because of the trend today, most of the people are now after a sexy body figure. Some might even shell out a huge amount of cash to fund their weight loss needs such as spas, fitness centers, or gyms…simply to trim down their weight. Although some of them are focused on maintaining their body, stay fit and healthy.

More books are now available and are easily accessible on several stores. This information is available for free, of course the book isn’t. If you really want a free weight loss program, keep in mind that although you are happy because it costs you nothing, there are several disadvantages that come with it.

First, you will probably end up with a mediocre program that is either very basic or founded on untested ideas.

Second, you will, most likely, not finish the free weight loss program. You might not even read it! Information that is found for free has little or no value compared to those that you actually bought…there is a magical connection to things that you purchased using your own money. And one of it is an increased level of commitment.

What You Should Do Instead….

Look for the best weight loss programs out there, do your homework, research it one by one, and start investing on it. Free things won’t do you any good! Now, because of the numerous diet programs to choose from, you would probably get confused on which program to take.

1. The Dash Diet – recommends a controlled amount of protein and fat intake, focusing high on carbs. Designed to also lower your blood pressure. The diet program uses the pyramid food guide in which it encourages high consumption of whole wheat grains as well as low-fat dairy and vegetables and fruits.

2. The Pritkin Principle – suggests watery food intakes that make a person feel full such as fruits, vegetables, pasta, salads, low-fat dairy, and soups. However, this restricts protein sources from poultry and seafoods. While it is healthy to eat minimum amounts of saturated fats and maximum amounts of fruits and vegetables, this lessens the calcium we need and restricts protein sources.

3. The Zone Diet – low on carbs and high on proteins. Promotes eating of low-fat protein foods like fruits, grains, fish and chicken with veggies. Its deficiency is merely into calcium and grains.

4. Weight Watchers – superior on carbs, fair intake on proteins and fats. A real healthy diet plan and also very adaptable for any type of dieter since they can plan their own routine instead of following other set of meal program.

5. Volumetrics – same as Pritkin’s but restrains dry or fatty foods like your favorite movie snacks – popcorns, sweets and crackers. This diet is for low-density calorie eating and it’s healthy in a way that it entices you to eat high quantities of fruits and vegetables as much as being low in saturated fats and calorie bulk.

6. Carbohydrates Addict’s Diet by Dr. Heller – instructs cutting on too much carbs but permits eating of high and saturated fat for your “priced” meal. Other significant foods like meats, fruits and vegetables, dairy and grain products are also accepted.

7. Eat More, Weigh Less by Dr. Ornish – vegetarian fare diet, rigorously low-fat. Limits the consumption of healthy foods like lean meats and seafoods. Also requires you to monitor your eating of non-fat dairy and egg whites.

8. Choose to Lose by Dr. Goor – Controls fat intakes and provides you a suggested fat budget. Carbs intakes are observed. Meats and poultry, same with seafoods and low-fat dairies are fine. One important thing to regularly check if you plan to take this diet – your triglyceride levels should be in proper balance.

9. Atkin’s New Diet Revolution by Dr. Atkins – invites you to enjoy high protein foods and cuts down on carbohydrates. Grains and fruits are also limited. This type of diet lacks on fiber and calcium but high in fat.

Hope this gives you a much better position before making your decision. No matter what you have decided upon, just make sure that you visit your physician first before buying one.
